We would like before starting this small summary by thanking Samuel Gentit, President of Association "Point Info-Loup Lynx" in Meylan, to have invited our Breeding with this Forum, as well as the Municipality of Meylan, represented by the Mayor, Mrs M-C. Tardy and the Town council, without forgetting more particularly Francoise Bouvarel, known as "Paqui" for the close friends, Person in charge for the Associative Pole, which contributed largely to the organization of this demonstration which was a success.

Our participation enabled us to represent the "patou" dog of protection. We could speak and especially inform the public on work of this dog to the herd. We also met Sylvain Macchi, person in charge and guide with the park of Gévaudan. It is in permanent contact with wolves (132) to date. Thank you Sylvain for these so interesting discussions on the wolves and see you very soon (for the meal!!). Stockbreeders of sheep of the area, Patoune and Gilles were accompanied by 3 sheep; they use the patous for their herd.

Our great regret is not to have been able to visit all Associations present at this Forum (To download the program). Our stand was a whole success by the number of visits. The public had come to know and learn about the "patou". To understand, the patou is a dangerous dog (with the herd) towards people. (the patou accompanied by its herd works and has not the same behavior as the patou "dog of company "; There are no centers of training the "patous with the herds", questions frequently asked by the visitors, as herding is instinctive).

We will hope to have answered the questions put by the visitors and that they will have another image of this marvellous dog, faithful and brave. Thank you also for the media who granted many interviews and articles devoted to the patous: France 3, France Bleu Pays de Savoie, Le Dauphiné Libéré, Meylan ma Ville.

The appointment is set and noted on the diary for the next year Samuel!!!

This 20th Forum knew an exceptional frequentation, with more than 10 000 visitors!

Jean-Claude, "did not touch ground", as of the moment when it stopped the car close of the installlations planned for Patous, the morning at 7 a.m. 30, it was surrounded people, first the people of service, the firemen, the communal service, the first curious ones made by the cycle track, before the opening hour, then to 10 a.m. it was the opening with the rush.
One came to see the patous! what is it that these patous? Here one speaks about it without stop, but nobody or very few people saw some.
For much of visitors, they in had never seen! Some made more than 100 kms!

Sylvain and myself made our conference right at side, it was envisaged to also make it with Jean-Claude, but at any time it was not possible to tear off it from crowd!  

I said to the people, Mr & Mrs, please we will begin the conference on the wolf, with Sylvain Macchi, here present, to the Forum, some came, but much remained with Jean-Claude and Patous.
And of course, I did not want to in no case, to disturb Jean-Claude, who was taken in the discussion, with crowd of people, I respected this situation, I adapted there with plaisir.et Patous.  

There was in fact, two conferences one near to the other, one on the wolf, and the other on Patous, it is true, I had not envisaged this case of figure, but, that functioned very well like that, people were going to listen, either Jean-Claude, or Sylvain, or the stockbreeders of sheep, according to the questions and of the things which they wished to know.
I realized quickly that the conference with 4 which I had imagined, could not be done, by the force of the things.
And, I do not regret absolutely, that that occurred from this manner.  

The evening, we had right to the speech of Mrs Marie Christine Tardy, Mayor of Meylan, which, in the morning had come to discuss with Jean-Claude. After the speech, an aperitif, quiches, pizza pies, and then the birthday cake. Were present: Mr Alain Carignon, Old Minister , Mr Richard Cazenave, Député of the District of Meylan, Mr Guy Cabanel, Senator, Old Mayor of Meylan, Mr Xavier Boucherle, Old Mayor of Meylan, Mr Jean-Pierre Vicario, Mayor of Corenc, the village neighbor.

All that was held on the beautiful green lawn of the Park of Buclos.
